Anna Stokes is a composer and vocalist based in London. 

 

Anna has written original scores for award-winning short films and documentaries, and has recently joined forces with socially-conscious film production company Northern Fortress. She has worked with composers including BAFTA-winner Harry Escott, Mercury-nominated Hannah Peel, Amelia Warner and Danny Mulhern. Projects include Steve McQueen's Uprising for BBC1, TV mini-series The Thief, His Wife and the Canoe for ITV and Hugh Laurie's Why Didn't They Ask Evans? for Britbox.

 

She has also worked with the London Contemporary Orchestra, assisting with orchestrations for scores by a range of composers such as Isobel Waller-Bridge, Dustin O'Halloran and Nainita Desai. Recent credits include additional orchestration on Jed Kurzel's score for Encounter (2021) and Herdís Stefánsdóttir's Y: The Last Man (Hulu).
