Anna Stokes is a composer and vocalist based in London.

Since graduating in 2018 with a first-class degree in music, Anna has written original scores for award-winning short films and documentaries, and has recently joined forces with socially-conscious film production company Northern Fortress. She also assists composers including BAFTA-winner Harry Escott, working on projects such as Steve McQueen's Uprising for BBC1, TV mini-series The Thief, His Wife and the Canoe for ITV and Hugh Laurie's Why Didn't They Ask Evans? for Britbox.

She has also worked with the London Contemporary Orchestra, assisting with orchestrations for scores by a range of composers such as Isobel Waller-Bridge, Dustin O'Halloran and Nainita Desai. Recent credits include additional orchestration on Jed Kurzel's score for Encounter (2021) and Herdís Stefánsdóttir's Y: The Last Man (Hulu).

Anna is always looking to collaborate with other creative minds.

"Anna was fantastic to work with; from pre-conceptual meetings for Jack’s Mind through to the final product. Anna’s ability to realise my direction was unwavering, her technical knowledge and execution of ideas was everything I could want from a composer. Highly recommended!"
